Survival Kits Designed for Specialty Situations by GetReadyGEAR

GetReadyGEAR, Inc. continues to evolve the design of specialty survival kits with new winter survival kits and a wilderness survival pack.

Given the importance of how geography plays a critical role in determining local hazards, GetReadyGEAR has designed 3 new survival kits for unique situations.

First, is our new 2 and 4 person Winter Survival Kit designed specifically for colder climates where individuals recreate outdoors or travel via car through cold climates. Key components of these kits include body warmers and hand warmers to prevent frostbite and hypothermia and a survival candle. The warmers are air-activated, odorless, non-toxic, environmentally friendly and non-combustible. The survival candle can burn with one wick for up to 36 hours or up to 12 hours with 3 wicks burning. This candle can be used as a signaling device, heat source or light.

The second new survival kit configuration is our 2 Person Wilderness Survival Pack. Unlike most urban survival kits, this kit provides extensive supplies for surviving in the wilderness. Key items include a tube tent for shelter; a shake flashlight for extended lighting use; expanded first aid kit; and various survival tools such as a multi-tool, survival knife, and whistle with compass. “These components are very similar to the items required in a 24 hour Search & Rescue pack” said GetReadyGEAR President Jim Serre.
