The Philippine islands are famous for its beautiful white beaches and breathtaking landscapes. Travelers from all over the world leave with unforgettable memories of the beauty of this country. Unfortunately, behind these scenic locations, the Philippines remains a developing country with much of its population struggling through their poverty-stricken lives.

The owners of incedo Travel, an online-based travel and booking platform, decided to show their appreciation for being able to enjoy the beauty of this country, and give back smiles to those who are less fortunate.
With Virlanie they found a reliable foundation, which cares for children in need of special protection. Those kids had to experience things we can’t even imagine – abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, orphaned… Through their amazing work, Virlanie´s staff and volunteers have touched the lives of thousands of street children in the Philippines. “We admire their strength to keep on fighting for these children and have decided to contribute by donating five kilos of rice to Virlanie for every traveler who books a trip with incedo”, sais Sadri Turki, Co-Founder of incedo Travel. Five kilos of rice feeds approximately 30 children one meal.

This partnership between incedo, a travel agency, and the Virlanie Foundation, a non-governmental organization, is a new and unique way for visitors to learn about the Philippines. Sadri Turki: “We are trying to offer a different style of traveling by giving our guests the chance to make a difference and give back some smiles to street children as well”.

Besides donating rice, incedo encourages their guests to experience this charity by attending one of the Virlanie´s mobile classes or by visiting one of their homes.
