Alteva and USA Datanet Add Compliance Archiving to Unified Communications Offerings
Unified Communications Companies Now Authorized Resellers of Global Relay Archive
Global Relay Archive is a compliance archiving and monitoring solution that securely stores email and instant messages for regulatory compliance (FINRA, SEC, IIROC, SOX, FRCP, HIPAA, FSA), audits and eDiscovery. Whether communicating with investors, clients or employees, email and instant messaging have become principal business tools. Retention and management of these records is essential to protect a firm’s intellectual capital and for adhering to best practices for investor comfort and regulatory compliance.
“For over twelve years, Global Relay’s solutions have been meeting the compliance requirements of firms in a wide variety of heavily regulated industries where security is of the utmost importance,” said Elizabeth Backus, product manager, Alteva and USA Datanet. “By adding Global Relay Archive as a complement to Alteva and USA Datanet’s existing service offerings, we can continue to provide our SMB and enterprise customers with high quality solutions to help meet their business demands.”
Global Relay’s Archive provides secure, off-site message archiving and long-term storage with online access. A tamperproof copy of all incoming, internal and outgoing electronic data, including email and attachments, instant messaging, e-fax, BlackBerry, Bloomberg, Reuters Social Networks and any imported legacy email, is captured, replicated and unified in Global Relay Archive. The archived data is mirrored between geographically isolated SAS 70 Certified Verizon Data Centers. Simple web-based search and retrieval tools provide rapid access by compliance officers and employees to current and historical email records, even if the original has been deleted.
“Alteva and USA Datanet deliver world-class hosted communication services that enable firms to lower costs and increase productivity. The addition of Global Relay Archive compliments their powerful suite of services by ensuring that their clients’ message data stays secure and remains constantly accessible to end users via web and mobile apps,” said Shannon Rogers, President and General Counsel, Global Relay. “Businesses have placed their trust in the hosted solutions offered by Alteva and USA Datanet for a number critical communication services and we are excited to introduce message archiving to that list.”
Global Relay’s messaging services address the requirements of regulatory compliance, audit, and legal discovery. The email and instant message archiving solution adds to Alteva and USA Datanet’s growing portfolio of cloud services including hosted UC solutions, VoIP systems and service, Microsoft Communication Services (Microsoft Exchange, Share Point and OCS) with voice integration, fixed mobile convergence, video, web hosting, electronic fax, conferencing and mobile communications.
“With an average of 75% reduction in startup expenses more companies, both small and large, are integrating cloud-based technologies as the need for business resiliency to decrease the dependence to any physical location or system grows,” said Louis Hayner, chief sales officer, Alteva and USA Datanet. “By adding complementary solutions to our existing product base, we can continue to enable our customers to be more agile, increase employee productivity, increase their competitive edge, dramatically reduce costs, and help them to stay compliant and in control.”
Additionally, Alteva and USA Datanet will offer Global Relay Email Continuity service that allows a business to mitigate the risk of experiencing an email server outage, where employees could be cut off from critical communications. An integral part of a business continuity or disaster recovery plan, Global Relay’s 30-day Email Continuity system offers a secondary mail system where employees have “always on” mail access to their Inbox, allowing business to continue and seamlessly function in the event of an in-house/Exchange primary mail server outage, software upgrade, hardware failure, data corruption or maintenance period.
