“Drag City: DC- Hair and Paint Make a Man What He Ain't”©, the newest reality show to hit the web and area access cable television: DCTV & Arlington Independent Media, will host a premiere event on Sunday, August 14. Showtime begins at 7pm featuring a sneak preview of the first episode of Drag City: DC, followed by performances from the cast and concludes with a Q & A session at 8pm.

Drag City: DC will forego Rupaul's Drag Race's competition format and focus on the art of female impersonation. Series of 30-minute episode will feature lots of great footage, focusing on depicting the different sub-cultures of the L.G.B.T.Q. Community. The amazing cast of Drag City: DC includes the incomparable Shi-Queeta-Lee “The Diva of Town”, Tyria Iman, Raquel Savage Black, Chanel Devereaux, LaCountress Farrington and Epiphany B. Lee.

Created and produced by Jerry Van Hook a.k.a. Shi-Queeta-Lee and Dylan Comstock, who also serves as the series’ supervising director and editor, this show is being produced by VanHook Productions as one of its newest projects. "Along with the performance aspect of the show we would also like to give insights into the everyday life of a drag queen. I want to show their goals & hardships and to really take the viewer on an adventure, following the queens and their dreams. As drag queens we celebrate life through diversity and entertainment, and really isn’t that what America needs right now?" says Shi-Queeta-Lee.
Hundreds are expected to attend the Drag City: DC Premiere Party.
